Family Centered Treatment is an evidence-based treatment and trauma treatment model of home-based family therapy, utilizing Eco-structural Family Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. The premise of both of these treatment models is changing the emotional tone and interactional patterns amongst family members. An FCT treatment episode entails the completion of 4 phases: Joining and Assessment, Restructuring, Value Changes, and Generalization, all of which have transitional indicators to proceed into the next phase of treatment. Throughout these phases, the clinician works with the family on identifying and improving critical areas of functioning and utilizes emotion to build attachment.

Provided by a licensed mental health professional for mental health and substance use treatment in the home setting, the service provides crisis management, intensive case management, family therapy, and supports to the entire family to prevent out of home placement for the identified youth.
