Intensive Family Services
Intensive In-Home (IIH) Services
Intensive In-Home of Coastal Horizons offers behavioral health treatment to stabilize youth who are at risk of out-of-home placement. Services are designed to address the identified needs of children and adolescents, who due to serious and chronic symptoms of emotional, behavioral, and/or substance use disorders, are unstable in the home and community without intensive interventions.
Utilizing a team approach, we offer intensive, comprehensive, and integrated treatment in the home and community through individual and family therapy, case management, and crisis response. Substance Abuse Counseling, Skills Training, and Support to prevent the need for out-of-home placements and those returning home from them is also available. A referral form is available here.
Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Services
Coastal Horizons Center’s Intensive Family Preservation Services is a short term, intensive (4-6 weeks) therapeutic family approach intended to empower and equip families with the resources and skills necessary to maintain in-home placement for youth ages birth-17 years. Families will be referred primarily by DSS for families at a high risk of children being displaced from the home or future abuse or neglect.
Intensive Family Preservation Services include: Crisis management, intensive case management, individual and/or family therapy, skills training, behavioral supports and other rehabilitative supports. These services are provided in the home with the family as well as within the community, to prevent the need for out-of-home placements, prevent further abuse and neglect, and enhance social development.
